Learn sustainable floristry with me
I used to be a teacher and love sharing sustainable floristry techniques with others. I offer floristry workshops in Birmingham for both flower enthusiasts and for florists. You can learn with me in fun and friendly group workshops, online at your own speed at home, or in a bespoke session tailored to your own interests.
As a self taught florist myself, I’m a firm believer that enthusiasm and a passion for your subject will take you a long way!
About my floristry workshops
If you like hands-on learning and want to try out practical floristry with an array of gorgeous ingredients, join me in person for one of my floristry workshops which usually take place in my home studio in South Birmingham. Each year I also run collaborative workshops with flower farmer extraordinaire, Flowers by Meg at Roots on her exceedingly photogenic farm just outside Worcester.
You can find full details of all upcoming group workshops below.
Want to be the first to know about new group workshops? Sign up for my mailing list. Your details will not be shared with any other organisation and I’ll only use them to send you workshop information. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Upcoming group floristry workshops
Group workshops 2025
This spring, summer and autumn, I’m running group workshops for florists who want to explore sustainable floristry for funerals and for weddings. I’m looking forward to collaborating with Flowers by Meg in Worcester for our wedding business masterclass ‘Weddings with a Wow’ in September on her Worcester flower farm.
Any new workshop dates will be added to this page as soon as they’re scheduled, but if there’s something you’d love to see on the list, get in touch!
Learn how to make sustainable funeral flowers - small group workshops - 4 people per session

Weds 10th Sept 2025 10.00am - 4.00 pm - 3 places remaining
Spend a day with me learning all about the art and business of plastic-free funeral flowers. We’ll discuss how to talk about sustainable funeral flower designs on your socials and website, and how to market and get known for them.
The practical floristry focus of the session will look at making tied sheaves and using these as building blocks for my ‘Gerry’ shareable casket spray arrangement made up of bouquets. We’ll also explore the practicalities of attaching flowers to coffins and you’ll be able to capture some lovely images of your funeral flowers for your portfolio.
£250.00 per person including all materials. Please bring a packed lunch.

Bespoke small group and 1:1 workshops - Monday to Wednesday by arrangement
I started my business armed only with a passion for growing flowers and a knowledge of plants built up over 20 years of being an obsessive gardener and think that if I can do it, you can do it too!
I love working with others who simply want to spend a couple of hours immersed in flowers: you may be planning to do your own flowers for a special event, just starting out on your floristry journey, or you might be looking for new inspiration to take your business forward.
Like my own floral designs, my bespoke floristry workshops are developed from our conversations. Costs will vary according to materials needed and the scale of your chosen arrangements.
Two hour floristry workshops - tailored to you
Perfect for you if you’re an aspiring or experienced florist or a DIY bride. Spend a two hour weekday workshop harnessing the natural charm of seasonal ingredients. Working together, we’ll create the arrangements you’d like to practise.
Cost: 1:1 floristry workshops from £150 depending on arrangement focus or from £135 per person for groups of 2-3 or from £125 per person for groups of 4-5.
Half or whole day 1:1 mentoring and floristry workshops
Whether you want to learn to make bouquets for your own wedding, to build large installations, want some insights into websites or just to have (almost literally) a day in a sweetshop working with beautiful flowers, get in touch to discuss your ideas.
Come armed with your notebook and questions and I can also capture images of you at work to help you tell your business story.
Chats are open and informal and evolve as we can explore where you’re at and where you want to go with flowers. You can ask me literally anything and I’ll do my best to give you full and frank answers.
Prices vary according to the materials and mechanics required for your chosen focus.
Half day workshops 9.30 -1.00 pm. from £270.00.
Full day workshops 9.30-5.30pm. from £475.00.

“I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the workshop and how lovely it was to be in your work room. It felt so summery and I’m tempted to ask a friend if I can have a space on her allotment to grow some flowers. I was amazed at the selection you provided and how we all came away with something different. It was a lovely and very different evening.”
